Spinning demonstration In-Person
Learn about the art of spinning fiber into yarn. In this demonstration you will learn about the fiber from different breeds of sheep, how they can be spun into yarn, and some of the tools used. There will also be an opportunity for participants to try spinning.
Bridget Flynn is a local fiber artist who has been spinning yarn to use in her knitting and weaving for over 20 years. She teaches spinning classes at Mt Airy Learning Tree and privately. She can also be seen around the community demonstrating spinning and selling her handwoven goods.
