In this program, children in 3rd-5th grade will be introduced to table top role-playing game, Dungeons and Dragons. A tabletop role-playing game is “a fun and structured cooperative activity with predictable rules and an unpredictable outcomes that takes plac0e directly with other people around a table, where players are playing as characters they create in an open, interactive, responsive world facilitated by a game master.”
Game Master, Sean Perazzelli, will share his love and enthusiasm for TTRPG, while teaching the basics of a Dungeons & Dragons. Players will craft characters and immerse themselves in roleplaying across diverse settings and genres. In others, they will draw maps, build communities, tackle ethical dilemmas, and explore themes from epic fantasy to personal growth. TTRPGs foster creativity, literacy, and social interaction.
This program will take place on the second Thursday of each month, so an on-going committment is required.
Please email Eileen Denton, Youth Services Librarian, if your child is interested in participating.
