Tea tasting In-Person
Do you think tea is just ho-hum? Do you think green tea is terrible and bitter? Do you think tea only comes in bags? (Answers: you just haven't found the right tea for you; it probably wasn't prepared correctly; and good tea is brewed loose!) Join Librarian and tea aficionado Jennifer Tyson for a journey through the world of tea, including some of its (very important!) history and a primer on the various ways of preparation. We'll enjoy samples of the five major styles from around the world, using real china. Feel free to wear your best teatime outfit (but don't worry if that's not your thing)!
