An ambitious social climber kills his pregnant girlfriend, making it look like a suicide, because he knows her wealthy family will never accept him. The dead woman's 
sister refuses to believe she would take her own life and begins an investigation. Eventually, she meets the killer and having no knowledge that he had dated her sister, begins a relationship with him.
