Artists in the Afternoon (GR 3-5) - Paper Sculpture In-Person
In this hands-on program, children in grades 3-5 will explore various art mediums, techniques and artists. The focus will be on the process of exploration rather than the finished product. This allows every child to participate and be successful!
This week we will be exploring paper sculptures or "stabiles" as artist Alexander Calder named them. We'll explore cutting, folding, curling, rolling, bending, scoring, layering, slicing & joining, twisting, crumpling, stuffing and crimping!
