As we celebrate the 250th anniversary of America's founding, join local historian Jim Segrave-Daly for a 4-part series with lively discussion of the causes, events, and individuals whose actions led tot he American Revolution and the historic changes that resulted. The series begins in 1763, after Englan's victory in the Seven Years' War, and culminates in ratificiation of the Declaration of Independence on July 4th, 1776.

Jim (TheLocalHistoryGeek) has presented to libraries and civic organizations nationwide. He is an active member of the Radnor Historical Society, the American Revolution Roundtable of Phildelphia, Founding Forward, Amercia250PADelco, and a volunteer history teacher.

Part 1: After their victory in the French & Indian War, England is deep in debt.  To tackle the financial crisis, Parliament passed the Stamp Act of 1765, which triggered a chain of unforeseen events in the North American colonies.
